Our home is even tidier than yesterday; things are in their places, and JoJo is slowly learning to adapt to our schedule. It has been a week since he arrived, and every hour we learn more about this sweet boy and his behavior.

When we take him outside to do his “business,” he wanders around, sits on the concrete for a while as if surveying the area, and then slowly finds a spot to relieve himself. Each time, I feel oddly satisfied. Being around him is soothing, and I find myself fully present in the moment.

Being around him is soothing, and I am fully in the moment.
Practically speaking, if one of us isn’t watching him, he could easily get himself into a bit of trouble. Still, it feels good to care for this new addition to our family and help him acclimate to our environment.
I’m also happy we managed to get our celebratory Christmas photo.

P.S., it took many tries to get the right one, as evidenced below.
