In the past, I’ve wondered if I have the right companion for my Airstream Bambi adventures. She is not from an aggressive breed and is only 25 pounds. So what can a Dachshund/Beagle mix truly bring to the table?
Well, now that Butters has been with me for roughly two years, I’ve got a good sense of what this dog is capable of.
Here’s what I’ve discovered:
She’s not afraid to explore.
Even if exploration requires getting into the weeds.
When necessary, she can laugh at herself.
She can fully entertain herself.
Her slight frame is not afraid to guard the house.
She fits nicely in the Airstream.
I’m pretty sure she doesn’t read English but I get this sense that she knows where we’re headed.
